Enrollment / Admissions Requirements
The following are requirements for all programs the Academy offers:
1. Driver’s License or State Issued Photo ID
2. Social Security card or Proof of Social Security number
3. Copy of student High School Diploma or GED, Transcript of Completion, or Home School
4. Student must be 16 years of age in order to sit for State Board Examinations in order to obtain a License to practice Barbering or Cosmetology.
5. Admissions Personal Interview
6. Completed Enrollment Application
7. Registration fee $75 & Required Down Payment
8. Completed and Signed Enrollment Agreement
Programs
BARBER PROGRAM
The Barber Stylist Program a is 1200 clock hours and takes approximately 9 months to complete with our full time schedule, and approximately 15 months with our part time schedule.
The Restricted Barber Program is a 600 clock hours and takes approximately 5 months to complete with our full time schedule, and approximately 10 months with our part time schedule.
Students in this program learn: A powerful, all-inclusive Barbering curriculum, delivered through a scientific, step-by-step, hands-on learning experience.
- Cutting and dressing Men’s hair, shaving and trimming beards, and performing related services.
- Effective communication skills, visual poise, proper grooming, and retail product sales.
- Delivering worthy service for value in an employer/employee relationship.
- Skills in the areas of hair-styling, hair shaping, hair coloring, texture services, scalp and hair conditioning, shaves, mustache and beard trims, hair pieces.
- Analytical skills to determine the best possible style for each client.

Cosmetology Program
The Cosmetology Program is 1200 clock hours
and takes approximately 9 months to complete with our full time schedule, and approximately 15 months with our part time schedule.
Students in this program learn:
A powerful, all-inclusive cosmetology curriculum, delivered through a scientific, step-by-step, hands-on learning experience.
The Cosmetology Program consists of practical demonstrations, lectures and examinations. The beginning Cosmetology student curriculum is primarily classroom work in styling, cutting, chemical and color work on manikins. The Classroom Clinic floor portion of the program is designed to allow students the opportunity to apply their knowledge and skills by working on clients in our student salon under the constant supervision of our professional Instructors.
These services are: hair cutting, shampooing, rinses, hair arranging (styling), hair coloring, highlighting, chemical waving, relaxing, hair removal, manicuring, pedicuring, make-up, scalp or hair treatments and hair pieces. As the student concludes the program, an intense focus is placed on State Board examination preparation and upon graduation the student is ready to take his/her examination to become a Licensed Cosmetologist in the State of Florida.
